A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. In other words, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain name, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running a business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited emails, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filtering software in order to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
Configuring a catch-all email mailbox will be incredibly easy if you’ve got a shared hosting plan with us. You can activate this feature through our powerful, yet simple-to-use Email Manager, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer the web hosting account itself. You will find all the email addresses that you have created shown alphabetically and on the right side of each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately reveal to you whether a specific mailbox gets all the messages associated with a given domain name or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you wish. In case there is activated email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you will receive a warning notification from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically and without your approval.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will allow you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any efforts even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you have already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
